Does a high H2 pressure-flow improve the iMaser's frequency stability performance?
No, but a low pressure-flow will. A high pressure-flow will actually degrade the performance as the spin exchange will be affected negatively. The typical performance is achieved at a nominal setting of 1.5 bar-liter/year with getter pumping capacity of over 40 bar-liter. The iMaser is designed with ultrahigh quality factors, both in its atomic line and cavity designs, thereby operating at nominal low H2 pressure-flow.
